Hello, I'm Katy!

In 2017, I was newly married, working a factory job with long hours, two teenagers in the house and my husband working third shift. We NEVER saw each other! I decided something needed to change. So, with no experience, little know how and some guts….I jumped. Not the best business plan; but after a shaky start, some classes and a wonderful mentor I learned and grew so much. With two brand new cameras and working weddings almost every weekend I built a portfolio. Over the course of four years I built my business, quit my job and went into photography full time; my husband is finally off third shift and we now have a daughter together who is two.

Photography is an ever-growing field with trends, cameras, editing styles and information constantly changing. I have learned so much in my eight years of working as a photographer but my editing style has stayed the same, I love the natural light and true to life colors. Jumping into my business the way I did was definitely a sink or swim moment, and I chose to swim! I chose to grow, learn and submerge myself in a field that does so much more then create beautiful images, it tells a story! I LOVE what I do and I thank God every day for the opportunity to work at a job I enjoy so much!
